India is hosting one of the largest national pavilions, showcasing its vibrant innovation ecosystem. This engagement builds on the earlier inauguration of the Bharat Innovates 2026 event in Nice, where significant funding commitments were secured for Indian deep-tech startups and multiple strategic partnerships were forged during the India-France Year of Innovation.
The visit further reinforces the robust India-France Special Global Strategic Partnership, which spans defense, clean energy, technology, and cultural exchanges. With a substantial Indian diaspora in France numbering around 119,000 in mainland France and over 350,000 in overseas territories, the Prime Minister is also expected to connect with community members.
