In a decisive address during his Gujarat visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a stern message to Pakistan, emphasizing India's unwavering commitment to national security and regional development.

Operation Sindoor: A Strategic Retaliation
Following the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, which resulted in the loss of 26 innocent lives, India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7, 2024. The operation targeted nine terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), dismantling them within 22 minutes. PM Modi highlighted that this swift and powerful retaliation was not just a military operation but a reflection of India's values and emotions.
Addressing the people of Pakistan, PM Modi stated, "Sukh chain ki zindagi jiyo, roti khao, varna meri goli to hai hi," signaling India's readiness to defend its sovereignty against any form of aggression.
Atmanirbhar Bharat: A National Awakening
The success of Operation Sindoor has ignited a renewed spirit of nationalism and self-reliance among Indians. PM Modi noted that the operation has propelled the Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India) movement forward, with citizens prioritizing domestically made products and services. Families are increasingly opting for Indian-made toys and choosing to host weddings within the country, reflecting a cultural shift towards supporting indigenous industries.
Gujarat's Developmental Leap
Concurrently, PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation for development projects worth over ₹77,000 crore in Gujarat. In Bhuj, he launched initiatives totaling ₹53,400 crore, including power sector projects, renewable energy infrastructure, and port developments . In Dahod, projects worth ₹24,000 crore were inaugurated, featuring a new locomotive manufacturing plant and the launch of the Vande Bharat Express.
PM Modi emphasized that these projects signify Gujarat's transformation from an underdeveloped region to a hub of infrastructure and economic growth. He remarked that what was once considered unthinkable for Gujarat is now a reality, highlighting the state's remarkable progress.
