According to the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, the purpose of this mission is to present a unified national stance and India's firm commitment to confronting terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.

"They would carry forth to the world the country's strong message of zero-tolerance against terrorism," the release stated.

The Centre announced that each delegation will include members of parliament from various parties, leading political figures, and respected diplomats.

Here is the list of all the leaders of these 7 delegations

1- Shashi Tharoor, Congress

2- Ravi Shankar Prasad, BJP

3- Sanjay Kumar Jha, JDU

4- Shri Baijayant Panda, BJP

5- Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, DMK

6- Supriya Sule, NCP

7- Shrikant Eknath Shinde, Shiv Sena

Key details about these delegations

According to ANI, approximately 40 parliamentarians from multiple parties will be divided into seven groups to visit different parts of the world. The specific members of these delegations have not yet been announced.

Each group is expected to consist of seven to eight members and is likely to visit four to five countries, sources added.

The trip, scheduled to begin on May 23, will last around 10 days. These parliamentary teams are anticipated to tour several major global capitals, including the United States, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, South Africa, and Japan, the news agency reported, citing insiders.

This marks the first occasion on which the Central government is sending MPs from various parties to convey India’s position on Kashmir and address cross-border terrorism originating from Pakistan.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, who is overseeing the coordination of this international visit, said on Saturday that the initiative reflects a strong expression of national unity, with India standing united.

"In moments that matter most, Bharat stands united. Seven All-Party Delegations will soon visit key partner nations, carrying our shared message of zero tolerance for terrorism. A powerful reflection of national unity above politics, beyond differences,"Rijiju shared a post on social media.

Pahalgam terror incident

The initiative takes place against the backdrop of India's ongoing Operation Sindoor, which saw precise strikes on nine designated terror camps in response to the April 22 Pahalgam attack that resulted in 26 fatalities.

Subsequently, Pakistan intensified the conflict through cross-border shelling and attempted drone assaults on Indian military installations. This provoked retaliatory strikes by India targeting Pakistani radar stations, airfields, and communication centers.

Operation Sindoor

On May 7, India launched Operation Sindoor in retaliation for the terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22, which claimed 26 lives. That same day, India conducted precise strikes in Pakistan and PoJK, eliminating over 100 terrorists.
