India Jammed China-Made Pakistani Air Defences During Operation Sindoor

The government stated on Wednesday that during Operation Sindoor, conducted from May 7 to 10, the Indian Air Force (IAF) successfully jammed Pakistan’s Chinese-made air defense systems to bypass them while carrying out precision strikes on terror and military targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoJK).

“The IAF bypassed and jammed Pakistan’s Chinese-supplied AD systems, completing the mission in just 23 minutes and demonstrating India’s technological edge,” according to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

“All strikes were executed without the loss of Indian assets, underscoring the effectiveness of our surveillance, planning, and delivery systems. The use of modern indigenous technology, from long-range drones to guided munitions, made these strikes highly effective and politically calibrated,” the statement issued by the I&B ministry further stated.

Jamming involves interfering with or confusing enemy radar and communication systems.

The revelation that the Air Force had effectively disabled Pakistan’s air defenses comes following a ceasefire agreement, which was reached after Pakistan initiated contact with India, bringing an end to four days of intense and fierce fighting both in the air and along the Line of Control (LoC).

Operation Sindoor: Escalating Tensions Unfold

Indian forces carried out precise strikes on terror strongholds within Pakistan during the early hours of May 8, successfully eliminating senior leaders from various terrorist groups, including Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba. The operations targeted nine sites across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), notably hitting major Lashkar headquarters in Bahawalpur and Jaish-e-Mohammed installations in Muridke.

This action significantly escalated tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbors. In response, Pakistan attempted multiple missile and drone attacks, all of which were effectively intercepted and thwarted by Indian defense forces.

India’s Response to Pakistan

Pakistan’s aggressive actions compelled India to respond decisively. The Indian Air Force successfully struck and neutralized critical Pakistani military targets, such as airbases and radar installations, skillfully overcoming sophisticated Chinese-supplied defense systems deployed by Islamabad.

IAEA Confirms No Radioactive Leaks from Pakistan Facility

On Wednesday, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) stated that no radiation leak occurred from any nuclear facility in Pakistan, according to The Times of India.

This announcement refuted claims that Indian missiles struck Kirana Hills in Sargodha, Pakistan, during Operation Sindoor, resulting in a radioactive leak.

The clarification was issued following rumors on social media and reports from foreign media suggesting that a Pakistani nuclear stockpile had been hit in the attacks.
