As Chhattisgarh turns 25 on November 1, 2025, the state is poised for a transformative leap in its developmental journey. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for projects worth ₹14,260 crore, spanning highways, energy, healthcare, and industry. The event symbolizes a renewed push toward inclusive growth in one of India’s youngest states.

Empowering Infrastructure and Connectivity
Among the major highlights is the launch of a four-lane greenfield highway under the Bharatmala Pariyojana, connecting Pathalgaon-Kunkuri to the Jharkhand border. Another key project upgrades NH-130D across Bastar and Narayanpur, enhancing mobility in tribal areas. Together, these corridors are expected to bolster regional trade, tourism, and logistics efficiency.
Energy and Industrial Expansion
The state will see nine new power substations across Raipur, Durg, and Bastar, along with a ₹1,950 crore Nagpur–Jharsuguda gas pipeline, linking 11 districts to India’s national grid. A new HPCL petroleum depot in Raipur, costing ₹460 crore, adds to the energy infrastructure. Two Smart Industrial Areas in Janjgir-Champa and Rajnandgaon and a Pharmaceutical Park in Nava Raipur promise to accelerate industrial growth and job creation.
Healthcare and Social Development
To strengthen medical education and accessibility, the Prime Minister will lay foundations for five new government medical colleges and an Ayurveda College in Bilaspur. At the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital, he will interact with children who recovered from congenital heart diseases, reaffirming the government’s commitment to compassionate healthcare.
Honouring Legacy and Tribal Heritage
In Nava Raipur, Modiji will inaugurate the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Memorial and Tribal Freedom Fighters Museum, launch a digital museum portal and an e-book titled Aadi Shourya, and unveil a statue of the freedom fighter. These cultural initiatives celebrate the sacrifices of tribal heroes who shaped India’s freedom struggle.
Towards a Self-Reliant Future
The launch of twelve Start-Up Village Entrepreneurship Programme (SVEP) blocks across nine districts marks a pivotal move toward self-employment and grassroots innovation. This initiative aligns with Atmanirbhar Bharat, enabling rural entrepreneurs to establish micro-enterprises and strengthen local economies.
The MGMM Outlook
Chhattisgarh’s 25th Foundation Day marks not only a milestone in its statehood but a defining step toward holistic growth under the nation’s evolving development vision. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s inauguration of projects worth ₹14,260 crore symbolizes a renewed era of empowerment across infrastructure, healthcare, industry, and education. From new medical colleges and Ayurveda institutions to high-capacity energy links and greenfield highways, every initiative strengthens the foundation of an inclusive and connected Chhattisgarh — a state that mirrors India’s spirit of transformation from its heartland to its hinterlands.
Equally significant is the cultural and social revival that underpins this development. The dedication of the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Memorial and Tribal Freedom Fighters Museum celebrates the courage of tribal heroes who embody India’s timeless heritage. Alongside, the Start-Up Village Entrepreneurship Programme sparks a movement of self-reliance, enabling youth and rural innovators to shape their futures with dignity and vision. Together, these measures reaffirm India’s commitment to balanced, people-centric growth — where progress is not confined to cities but reaches every village, every community, and every dream in the heart of Chhattisgarh.
