Universities Committed to Setting Up Campuses

The universities that have committed to establishing campuses in India include:

  • University of Southampton

  • University of Bristol

  • University of Liverpool

  • University of York

  • University of Aberdeen

  • University of Lancaster

  • University of Surrey

  • University of Coventry

  • Queen’s University Belfast


The University of Southampton has already inaugurated its campus in Gurugram, Haryana, marking it as the first foreign university to open a campus in India under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The University of Bristol has received approval from the University Grants Commission to open a new Enterprise Campus in Mumbai, scheduled to welcome students in the summer of 2026.
