The 9th edition of the Global Technology Summit (GTS) will be held in the national capital from April 10 to 12, gathering some of the brightest minds from around the globe. The summit will be inaugurated by External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, who will deliver the opening address during the inaugural session.

As India’s leading platform for high-level discussions on geo-technology, the GTS is co-organized by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and Carnegie India. Established in 2016 and based in New Delhi, Carnegie India is part of a global network comprising over 170 scholars. According to an MEA press release, the summit aims to bring together leaders from government, industry, academia, and civil society to engage in meaningful dialogues on innovation, resilience, and international collaboration in the technology sector.
Theme of the 2025 Global Technology Summit
This year's Summit is centered around the theme "Sambhavna," a Hindi word that translates to "possibilities." The event will explore how emerging technologies can be leveraged to drive inclusive growth, enhance digital governance, and promote cross-border collaborations.
Summit Agenda
The Global Technology Summit is gearing up for an exciting agenda, featuring over 40 public sessions spread across three dynamic days. According to the MEA release, attendees can look forward to an engaging lineup of keynote speeches, high-level ministerial dialogues, expert panels, and strategic discussions addressing some of the most critical technology challenges facing the world today.
More than 150 distinguished speakers from over 40 countries—including the US, UK, Japan, Australia, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Brazil, UAE, Nigeria, the Philippines, and the European Union—are expected to participate. These global visionaries will offer a wide range of insights, shedding light on both the hurdles and opportunities in today’s rapidly evolving tech landscape, the MEA added.
The discussions will span a wide array of critical issues, including AI governance, digital public infrastructure, data protection, cybersecurity, space security, and collaboration on emerging technologies—particularly in the Global South. With its comprehensive and forward-looking agenda, GTS 2025 aspires to be a milestone event in defining the future of global technology policy and innovation. "This year, GTS 2025 will also amplify the voices of the next generation. Through the GTS Young Ambassadors program, students and young professionals from across India will contribute directly to policy conversations on digital futures, responsible AI, and global tech norms," the MEA added.
