Union Home Minister Amit Shah, during his three-day visit to Bihar ahead of the upcoming assembly elections, sharply criticized the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav's promise of providing government jobs to every family in the state. Addressing a public gathering in Patna, Shah questioned the financial feasibility of such an ambitious scheme, highlighting the challenges in financing it. He emphasized that while the ruling alliance of Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal United (JDU) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are offering unemployment allowances, the RJD's promise of government jobs for all is unrealistic.

Tejashwi Yadav's Job Guarantee Proposal
Earlier this month, Tejashwi Yadav had pledged that within 20 days of forming the government, a law would be enacted to ensure that every household in Bihar has at least one government job. This commitment resonated with many in the state, where unemployment remains a pressing issue. However, Shah's remarks cast doubt on the practicality of implementing such a promise, questioning how the RJD plans to finance this ambitious scheme.
Criticism from BJP
In addition to his criticism of Yadav's job promise, Shah also targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, mocking his "Voter Adhikar Yatra" and labeling it a march to protect illegal immigrants. Shah reiterated the BJP's firm stance against illegal immigration, asserting that the party would not allow such elements to enter the country.
The MGMM Outlook
During his recent three-day visit to Bihar ahead of the assembly elections, Union Home Minister Amit Shah strongly criticized RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav’s promise to provide government jobs to every household in the state. Speaking at a public gathering in Patna, Shah questioned the financial feasibility of such an ambitious commitment, highlighting the significant challenges in implementing it. He contrasted this with the current efforts of the ruling JDU-BJP alliance, which offers unemployment allowances, arguing that Yadav’s guarantee of jobs for all families is unrealistic and could place an enormous burden on the state’s finances.
Tejashwi Yadav had earlier pledged that a law would be enacted within 20 days of forming the government to ensure that every household receives at least one government job—a proposal that resonated with voters concerned about unemployment. Shah, however, expressed skepticism about how such a scheme could be funded. Alongside this, he also criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s “Voter Adhikar Yatra,” describing it as a campaign aimed at protecting illegal immigrants, reiterating the BJP’s firm stance against illegal immigration and emphasizing the party’s commitment to safeguarding national security.
